Terms and Conditions

1. Applicants must be current Hawkesbury City Council residents and must be occupants of the property requesting the rebate.

2. Applicants must provide a proof of residence with their name on the document.  Accepted documentation includes rates notice, drivers licence or NSW photo card. If the applicant is under 18 years of age and does not havea ny of these forms of identification, a parent or guardian will need to apply on their behalf.

3. Only one rebate per household is available.

4.  The rebate is 50% of the purchase price of rechargeable batteries excluding postage or delivery fees.  Maximum rebate per household is $50.

6. The rebate does not include other sized batteries or chargers for those batteries, solar panel chargers or other devices.

7. The items for which a rebate is requested must be purchased on or after 1st July, 2024.

8. The applicant must provide a copy of the receipt or proof of purchase.  It must include the retailers name, date and clear identification of name and cost of each individual resuable product purchased.  A copy of the entire reciept or proof of purchase is to be provided.

9. Rebate applicants are to be submitted online.  If an applicant does not have computer or mobile phone access, applications can be completed with customer service staff at one of Council's service centres.  Please note copies of proof of purchase and residence will still need to be provided. 

10.  The aplication portal is hosted by Rebately, the supplier engaged by Council to process the rebate.  By submitting a rebate application, you agree to use the Rebately portal which may be subject to terms of use and share the information submitted with Council and Rebately for the purspose of processing your application.

11.  By accepting this rebate particpants agree to particpate in a user survey and consent to being contacted on the details provided in the rebate application for the purpose of Council conducting the user survey.

12.  Hawkesbury City Council holds the right to reject any application.

13.  The Reusable sanitary products rebate trial is limited to a set budget, once this budget is spent the trial will close and Council will stop accepting new rebate applications.  Please check here to ensure the rebate is still available prior to purchasing products.

14.  Council does not warrant any reusable sanitary product purchased through this rebate scheme and participants must make their own determination on such products including whether they are suitable for your purposes.  Council accepts no liability in relation to your participation in this rebate scheme.
